Overview
Experience the beautiful El Yunque Rainforest with this educational and beneficial tour. As well as experiencing the exotic side of the Puerto Rico, help the rainforest by learning about land degradation and deforestation, endangered animals, and pollution. For six days clean up trash, make artificial bird nests, and plant trees as well as other activities with the goal of saving this gorgeous rainforest!

Annually, there is approximately 240 inches of rain, with September being the month with the most precipitation. The average temperature of the forest is 77.9°F. August is the warmest month on average, while January is the coolest month on average.

Why is it called 'El Yunque'?
It is called El Yunque because the clouds covered the top of the mountains. The Tiano (the natives of the rainforet) used to refer to these as 'yukes', which meant 'the white lands'. This later become yunque, which became the name of the forest giving us "El Yunque".

The El Yunque rainforest is currently deaing with serious issues such as degradation/deforestation, pollution, and endangered animals.
